New Friends

Today was a GREAT day!  Emelda and I hosted lunch for Tim and Karen.  I met Tim several months back and he was looking to upgrade his Nook.  We got talking and he ended up sending his Nook to Emelda!  We have been in contact since his visit in December, and we were able to come up with a time to meet.

Lunch was deli sandwiches cookies from the Famous Bent's Cookie Co.  in Milton, with bottled Gingerale!  Emelda loved having guests at our table ( and so did mom)!!!! Emelda was a lovely hostess and the time with Tim and Karen was precious.  Emelda and Tim had a little mischevous game of of chip snatching going on.  Emelda put her teacher face on shortly after lunch.  We all had to write with our non-dominant hand!  Karen was a super student and even got tickers.  Mom flunked and got a letter home to her parents.  Tim, goofed off throughout the entire assignment and decided to use his test sheet as a canvas for his art project.  Even though Tim didn't do the assignment, he walked away with a straight A (because he is only 5!!!!!!)

We played a game of Jenga, and them Emelda brought Tim into her room to play.  Tim taught Emelda how to shoot burps (burp, blow and shoot) and was picked up by her ears!!!
Next, Emelda took Karen into the room and played with her.  They figured out cat's cradle!

The time flew by.  We really enjoyed having them over today.  New friends and hopefully our friendship will develop over the years.  Emelda and Tim share a very special common bond, which I hope and pray will be what develops there lasting friendship.
